Hydrothane racks are used in both low and high head intake applications and under conditions of high flows with excellent results.
The photo to the right shows an eel grass covered trashrack at the Sir Adam Beck Hydroelectric plant located at Niagara Falls and owned by Ontario Power Generation.
The trashracks at the Beck Hydro plant have operated under high loads and high flows for more than 4 years with no apparent deficiencies.
Hydrothane has been tested independently for its strength and load bearing resistance. All designs are based upon appropriate design standards and safety factors taking into account conditions specific to the applacation.
